Michael Andersen and Sons, Stoneware candlestick, circa 1960

Jens Michael Andersen (1859-1931) was the founder the Michael Andersen and Sons Pottery in the late 19th Century on the little island of Bornholm, Denmark.
In 1955 the company hired German ceramicist Marianne Stark who created new exciting glazes and experimental designs, such as this stoneware candlestick with rounded corners and 'dimple' decoration.
