Pair of Troyan pottery stem vases, Bulgaria

This charming pair of vintage Bulgarian marbled glazed stem vases is perfect for brightening any table with small flower displays with a little folk-ish feel. Originating from the northern city of Troyan, in the foothills of the Blakan Mountains, this style of folk decoration is thought to have been inspired by the dazzling patterns on the feathers of peacocks living at the court of the Ottoman Empire.
