See the world from a new perspective with this set of three uplifting 20th-century reprints of Italian 18th century hot air balloons. Also known as montgolfiers, after the French brothers Joseph-Michel and Jacques-Étienne Montgolfier who developed the first hot-air balloon in 1783, making an unmanned flight lasting 10 minutes. Since then our fascination with this wonderful invention has not diminished and these giant balloons have become a symbol for adventure and unbound imagination.

Framed.

Each 51.5 x 40 cm

Fabric swatch: Manousk by Robert Kime, a printed linen based on a late 18th century French lining.
